Our story
It starts with the pot,
and everyone around it.

- To stir. The big communal pot cooked slowly over fire, and the gathering that happens while everyone waits for it.
Back home, a karoga is not a recipe so much as an occasion. Someone lights the fire, someone else keeps stirring, and the afternoon goes by before the lid comes off. Nobody eats alone.
We cook it the same way here, just with a gazebo over our heads and a British festival field underfoot. The curries go on early, the grill runs all day, and the chai never really stops.
